Hayley and her sister Alexia couldn’t be more opposite. Hayley is the straight-A student who wishes she were apart of the popular crowd and was dating her sister’s boyfriend. Alexia is one of the most popular girls at school, has an amazing boyfriend, but is barely passing high school.

One night, while Hayley is stargazing, she makes a wish on a shooting star to be her sister. When the girls wake up in the morning, Hayley’s wish has come true and the sister’s have switched bodies.

This is one of those movies I remember watching shortly after it came out on television and really enjoying it. The movie often aired on Family Channel here (Canada’s version of Disney Channel). The movie is very much like a modern day Freaky Friday. Hayley truly wants to be her sister and is in love with Kyle, while Alexia tries everything to switch them back.

After a while though, Alex kind of enjoys being in her sister’s body and finds it has its advantages, like getting better grades and not having to worry about being popular.

The movie has a slight twist that you can see coming from a mile away but the movie is still enjoyable to watch.
